i'm new!
what to expect
Sometimes showing up to church is intimidating. We strive to make sure you feel at home while at Calvary. We hope the following information will help to ease the tension and allow you to "take a peek" into a normal worship gathering. Scroll down and review some of the helpful questions.
What should I wear?
Clothes. That's the only thing we ask. We are much more concerned about what's going on inside of a person, than what clothes they wear on the outside. Feel free to come as you are.
What is the music like?
While the types of instrumentation and musical styles might change a little from weekend to weekend, we work hard to make sure our worship time is always God-centered, participatory, and relevant.
Do my kids stay with me?
We offer dynamic children ministries from birth to 5th grade during all of our gatherings. Most kids love it! The creative environment and experienced teachers will help your children learn about God in a relevant way, as well as offer fun experiences that will help the teaching come alive in their hearts. Check out the children page to find out more! That said, your children are also welcome to stay with you, if you prefer.
Will I be asked to give money?
If this is your first time with us, we want you to keep your wallet in your pocket. Just come and experience a service at Calvary. If you like it and want to join our community, then we believe giving to God and His church is a part of being a Christ-follower.
Will I be bored?
We sure hope not. A life connected to Jesus should be fulfilling and rewarding. We strategically plan our gatherings to engage your heart, mind, and soul. We use music, video, powerful teaching, and a variety of other experiential elements to help you connect to God and those around you in a meaningful way.
What is the overall atmosphere like in one of your gatherings?
We want to make you feel welcome as you put yourself in a position to connect with God and those around you. We even provide fresh coffee and donuts, pretty comfortable seating, and a casual environment that will set the tone for you to be more focused on God, and less concerned about the atmosphere around you.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
